This project began with an interest in translating the analog into the digital—particularly the relationship between the intangible and the tangible. I have been exploring how invisible, deeply human experiences can be visualized and externalized through design. It is driven by the question: What happens when something deeply human becomes data?
Starting from crochet and knitting, I developed a generative system using TouchDesigner to create evolving visual patterns. These patterns are translated into a web-based generator where users can produce their own unique designs. Extending this process further, the project also includes an interactive web weaving platform that allows these digital patterns to be directly translated into woven structures.
The project exists as a cohesive system consisting of a pattern book, a web-based pattern generator, and an interactive web weaving generator. Together, these elements form a continuous loop between digital and physical, allowing patterns to move fluidly from generation to materialization.
